Bounding Tops Magic Millions Broodmare Opener

Barbara Banke's Stonestreet Farm, prominent at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale two years ago when buying Miracles Of Life (Aus) (Not A Single Doubt {Aus}) for A$900,000, secured the top lot of the opening day of that sale this year when spending A$1.9 million on Group 1 winner Bounding (Aus) (Lonhro {Aus}) (lot 611) on Wednesday. Bounding was one of three mares to reach seven-figures today, the others being Crystal Flute (Aus) (Encosta de Lago {Aus}) (lot 1348), the daughter of Monsoon Wedding (Aus) hammered down to China Horse Club for A$1.4 million, and young Group 2 winner Fontiton (Aus) (Turffontein {Aus}) (lot 643), sold to SF Bloodstock for A$1.1 million.
