Joseph Sutton's multiple graded stakes winner Bradester (Lion Heart) fired a five-furlong bullet in :59 at Keeneland Saturday in preparation for a start in the GI Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile Oct. 30.

Working in company under pilot Corey Lanerie, Bradester was clocked in splits of :12.40, :23.40, :35.40 and :59 with a gallop out in 1:12.40. (Video)

“He worked really, really well, took to the track just fine,” trainer Eddie Kenneally said. “He's on track; he's freshened. He had some tough races this summer, and he put up some big performances. He runs well fresh, so we're excited about the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile.”

The conditioner added, “He'll probably work again the next two Saturdays provided the weather is good. We'll alter the schedule if the track happens to get muddy or wet; we'll do it a day beforehand or a day later.”

Bradester spent the summer at Monmouth Park where he won the GIII Salvator Mile S. July 5 and the GII Monmouth Cup S. Aug. 2. The bay was second when last seen in that venue's GIII Phillip H. Iselin S. Aug. 30.
