Champion juvenile and GI Kentucky Derby hero Nyquist (Uncle Mo) will be given some time off as he goes through a growth spurt, confirmed trainer Doug O'Neill's operations manager Sharla Sanders Sunday. Last seen setting the pace before fading to fourth at even-money in the GI Haskell Invitational S. July 31, the Reddam Racing colorbearer will spend some time at San Luis Rey Downs before gearing up for a fall campaign, with the GI Breeders' Cup Classic at Santa Anita Nov. 5 the main goal. He may use the Sept. 24 GII Pennsylvania Derby as a prep.
