Breeder Briefings, a new webinar series, was launched by the Thoroughbred Breeders' Association (TBA). The webinars will feature subject matter experts on a range of pertinent topics to support members with their breeding enterprises.

The first webinar will begin on Wednesday, April 15, with additional sessions set for May and June of this year.

The first episode will be hosted by TBA Chief Executive, Naomi Mellor who will be joined by Phillip Norden and his team at Ceres Rural to discuss Land Management Subsidies available to stud farms. Discussion will focus on the Sustainable Farming Incentive, for which applications open from June 2026 for the next three-year funding cycle.

Naomi Mellor, chief executive of the TBA said, “A big focus for the TBA this year is to arm our membership with expert advice and knowledge in order to support and help their breeding entities thrive, and we are really pleased to be introducing this new webinar series for our members, which will also be recorded and made available via TB-Ed.

“We will be covering a range of topics and I am delighted Phillip Nordon from Ceres Rural will be joining us for the first webinar and we look forward to welcoming as many of our membership as possible for an informal but informative session on the Sustainable Farming Incentive and the grants available to stud farms.”

The webinar will start at 6 p.m. and run for 45 minutes and will be followed by a Q&A session. Webinars are free for full members along with ACCESS and Essential subscribers. For more information on the webinar series, please visit the TBA website.
