The Breeders' Cup has formed a partnership with Christina Lombardi Collection, a luxury footwear label designed by Christina Lombardi, for the Breeders' Cup World Championships to be held Nov. 4 and 5 at Santa Anita Park, it was announced Monday. Through the new partnership, attendees of the Breeders' Cup World Championships will have exclusive access to Christina Lombardi's newest footwear collection at venues in the Langham Hotel, Santa Anita Park and at the Finish Line Celebration.
“Christina Lombardi's design aesthetic perfectly aligns with the Breeders' Cup luxury experience,” Craig Fravel, President and CEO of the Breeders' Cup. “Christina's love of the sport makes her a natural fit for the partnership, and we are excited to give fans access to the Christina Lombardi Collection at this year's event.”
Lombardi is the daughter of Ron Lombardi, owner of Mr. Amore Stables. Lombardi's Tightend Touchdown (Pure Precision) placed second and sixth in the GI Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint in 2013 and 2014, respectively.
