Breeders' Cup Ltd. has announced a deal that restores Television Games Network (TVG) telecasts of the Breeders' Cup undercard races from Santa Anita Park on the two days of this weekend's Championships Nov. 4-5.
Jim Gluckson, the senior communications consultant for the Breeders' Cup, emailed the following statement late Wednesday afternoon:
“The 2016 Breeders' Cup World Championships, Nov. 4-5, will be televised live on NBC, NBCSN and streamed live on Breederscup.com and on various ADW websites. In addition, TVG will televise the six undercard races on Friday and the three undercard races on Saturday at Santa Anita Park.”
No further details on the agreement were available in time for deadline for this story.
The blockage of TVG's television coverage had been attributed to the enforcement of an “official wagering partner” contract between Breeders Cup Ltd. and TwinSpires.com that was inked in 2015.
