Hip 402 broke the record price paid for a weanling in North America yesterday as Bridlewood Farm went all the way to $3 million to secure the Tapit sibling to Grade II winners Honor Code (A.P. Indy) and Noble Tune (Unbridledﾒs Song). The great grandaughter of Serenaﾒs Song was consigned by John Sikuraﾒs Hill ﾑnﾒ Dale, which bred her in partnership with Dell Ridge Farm. The previous record for a weanlingﾠwas the $2.70 million paid for the colt Amour Malheureux (Montjeu {Ire})ﾠhere in 2006.
