The stakes winning mare Brilliant Bisc (Aus) (Elvstroem {Aus}) certainly lit up the Turangga Farm Dispersal, hosted by Inglis at Scone on Sunday, when selling to Geoff Roan on behalf of Sir Owen Glenn for A$600,000. Overall the 87 lots sold grossed a total of A$4,171,500 at an average of A$47,948. “We achieved what we set out to achieve and I'm really happy with the sale, really happy with it. It's grossed well,” Turangga's Stuart Ramsey said. Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster offered his appreciation to have been given the opportunity to host the Sale for the Ramsey's. “I'd like to thank Stuart for letting Inglis manage this sale, and also to congratulate him and his family on the wonderful influence they have had on the breeding industry over a long period of time.” The sale toping mare, offered as lot 35 is in foal to Exosphere (Aus) (Lonhro {Aus}) and was a stakes winning juvenile out of a Group 1 winner Stella Cadente (Aus) (Centaine {Aus}), from a family littered with black type winners. The 2010 foaled mare has had two foals to date, a 2015 colt by Written Tycoon (Aus) and 2016 colt by I Am Invincible (Aus) and her next date will be with Newgate Farm's Capitalist (Aus) (Written Tycoon {Aus}). Several other lots achieved six figure sums including a pair of mares offered in foal to Vancouver (Aus) (Medaglia d'Oro). Lot 62 Private (Aus) (Encosta De Lago {Aus}) was bought by James Bester for A$360,000 while lot 38 Clover Lane (NZ) (O'Reilly {NZ}) was knocked down to Robertson Equine Investments for A$220,000. James Bester also accounted for the highest priced weanling when signing for lot 23 a filly by Your Song (Aus) for A$125,000.
