California raider Faithfully (Smart Strike) gets the morning-line nod for Churchill Downs' Thanksgiving day feature, the GII Falls City H. Winner of the Santa Lucia S. earlier this season, the Bob Baffert trainee checked in third behind champion Stellar Wind (Curlin) in the GI Clement L. Hirsch S. July 30 and was second next out in the restricted Tranquil Lake S. Aug. 25. She was last seen finishing second to “TDN Rising Star” Paradise Woods (Union Rags) in the GI Zenyatta S. Sept. 30.
Winner of the GIII Molly Pitcher S. at her Monmouth Park home base, Money'soncharlotte (Mizzen Mast) followed suit with a victory in the Lady Jacqueline S. going this distance at Thistledown Aug. 19 and was second in both the GI Beldame Invitational S. Sept. 30 and this venue's GII Chilukki S. Nov. 4.
A runner who could provide some intrigue at a price is Motown Lady (Uncle Mo). Third in the Zenyatta in her final start for trainer Keith Desormeaux, the bay checked in third in the Chilukki in her return to trainer Bret Calhoun, who conditioned the filly for the first half of her 2017 season.
