Camargue, First Foal, Make Waves at KEENOV

After purchasing six head for $11.4 million during Monday's opening session at Keeneland November, Besilu Stables' Benjamin Leon jumped back into the mix about two hours in to Tuesday's sale, going to $900,000 for a weanling filly by Smoke Glacken from the dispersal of the late Saud bin Khaled's Palides Investments. Chanteclair Farm is handling the consignment. A Valentine's Day foal, hip 294 is the first foal out of Camargue (Mineshaft), an unraced three-parts sister to G1SW Biondetti (Bernardini), GISW Indy Five Hundred (A.P. Indy) and MGSW Delta Princess (A.P. Indy), the dam of GI Breeders' Cup Classic victress Royal Delta (Empire Maker). The foal's dam preceded her filly into the ring and was knocked down to Frank Stronach's Adena Springs for $1.65 million pregnant to Street Sense.
