Patient tactics ultimately paid off as the 17-5 second favourite was delivered with a withering run to hit the front on the line and deny Mankib (GB) (Tamayuz {GB}), the son of the 2007 G1 Cheveley Park S. and 2008 G1 1000 Guineas heroine Natagora (Fr) (Divine Light {Jpn}), by a nose. Veranda is the second foal out of Visinada, a member of her owner-breeder's vibrant “V” family whose first is last year's G3 Prix la Force runner-up Viserano (Fr) (Rock of Gibraltar {Ire}) and who has a yearling son of Dream Ahead named Visorino (Fr) and a filly foal by Viserano's sire named Visorana (Fr) to follow.
