'TDN Rising Star' Capitalist (Aus) (Written Tycoon {Aus}) has delighted connections in his latest workout and is firmly on course for the A$2-million Magic Millions 2YO Classic at the Gold Coast next Saturday Jan. 9. Having missed an intended trial last week due to a slightly elevated temperature, the Peter & Paul Snowden trained colt galloped at Randwick Racecourse alongside stable-mate Mooshakissa (Aus) (Duporth {Aus}) over 800m with Blake Shinn in the saddle. Having sat behind his work partner, Capitalist quickened smartly to draw alongside under a tight rein and the pair went quite a way beyond the finishing line before pulling up. “He is as good as gold,” reported co-trainer Peter Snowden to Racing And Sports. “We didn't do a lot with him, just enough to blow the cobwebs out. They were only asked to do a bit the last furlong and he was really good. Today was about making sure he was fine, make sure there is no temperature and see him eat up well over the weekend,” added Snowden.
