Fox Hill Farm's Cassatt (Tapit–Justenufftime, by Giant's Causeway) has been retired from racing and was bred to Curlin. The “TDN Rising Star” will be sold at the Fasig-Tipton November sale, according to the farm's Facebook page.
“Cassatt was bred to Curlin on March 22,” the Fox Hill Farm's Facebook page stated. “We will know if she is pregnant next month. The plan is for her to be sold in November at the Fasig-Tipton sale. She will be consigned by Hill 'n' Dale Farm.”
Trained by Larry Jones, the gray's career highlights include wins in the 2014 GIII Monmouth Oaks, Zia Park Oaks and Tiffany Lass S. Winner of the Houston Ladies Classic S. and She's All in H. last term, she retires with a record of 14-7-1-2 and earnings of $714,733.
Rick Porter's operation purchased Cassatt for $300,000 at the 2012 Keeneland September sale. Bred by Mt. Brilliant farm, the 5-year-old is out of a half-sister to champion Dreaming of Anna (Rahy), who produced GISP Fast Anna (Medaglia d'Oro); and MGSWs Lewis Michael (Rahy) and Justenuffhumor (Distorted Humor). Cassatt also traces her lineage back to champion turf horse and top sire Kitten's Joy (El Prado {Ire}); and MGISW Precious Kitten (Catienus), dam of GSW and GISP Divining Rod (Tapit).
