Caulfield on Pivotal

TDN's Andrew Caulfield begins this week's column by tracing the stallion career of Pivotal, who started out with a stud free of £5,000 and rose all the way up to be, at one point, the highest-priced stallion in England. Pivotal sired Immortal Verse, who defeated superstar Goldikova in last week's Prix Jacques le Marois. Caulfield also takes a look at Immortal Verse's female family, which traces back to Schiaparelli.
