Connections of runaway G3 Rose of Lancaster S. hero Intilaaq (Dynaformer) have changed their minds over his target on Dubai World Cup night and have chosen the G1 Dubai Turf over the evening's headline event, the G1 Dubai World Cup. Trainer Roger Varian had recently taken the 'TDN Rising Star' for a racecourse gallop at Southwell in a bid to ready Hamdan Al Maktoum's colt for his first competitive attempt on a dirt surface and his absence from the world's richest race leaves Britain without a representative.

Richard Hills, assistant racing manager to the owner told The Racing Post, “Sheikh Hamdan has decided that Intilaaq should stick to turf rather than try dirt on which he is untested.”
