Cherry on Top: Irish Cherry Brings $2.7M at Keeneland

Irish Cherry (Irish Open) provided the fireworks at Monday's opening session of the Keeneland January sale. The 14-year-old mare, in foal to Ghostzapper, sold for $2.7 million to Southern Equine Stables. Trainer Eric Guillot signed the ticket on the chestnut mare, who is the dam of MGISW Spun Sugar (Awesome Again) and GSW Daaher (Awesome Again).
