Christophe Soumillon To Ride For The Aga Khan Again

Christophe Soumillon has learnt that he will be retained once again by His Highness The Aga Khan in 2014. Originally the number one for the operation between 2002 and 2009, the Belgian-born rider will take over from Christophe-Patrice Lemaire from next season. The famed owner-breeder's French Racing Manager Georges Rimaud told PA Sport, “From 2014, Christophe Soumillon will become the retained jockey for the Aga Khan's horses in France for two years. We have had a good relationship with Christophe Lemaire, who has ridden multiple Group One winners, but his contract was coming to an end and we have made the decision to change.”
