According to published reports, Churchill Downs, site of the 2010 Breeders' Cup, will be hosting the event again in 2011. Breeders' Cup and Churchill Downs issued a release Thursday afternoon that there would be an announcement made during a press conference Friday morning. Citing an official with “knowledge of the organization's plans,” Daily Racing Form reported that the decision was made to keep the Breeders' Cup in Louisville because of the current problems between the Oak Tree Racing Association and MID Developments, which owns Santa Anita; and the financial turmoil surrounding the New York Racing Association and New York City OTB.
