Cobalt Overage For Arabian Trainer

Jameel Salman, a Purebred Arabian trainer in the UAE, has been banned for two years after a horse under his care returned a sample that contained a cobalt overage after it ran at Al Ain on Dec. 2. The horse in question, Malzom (AE), was disqualified from 14th place in the maiden race.

It is the second time in the space of a week that a UAE Purebred Arabian trainer has been banned two years for a cobalt overage: trainer Majed Al Jahouri was handed the same penalty on Jan. 18.
