Collins Goes to $330K for Elusive Quality Mare at KEEJAN

Bidding on behalf of an unknown client, bloodstock agent Lincoln Collins saw off all his competition to land hip 515, Princess Janie (Elusive Quality), for $330,000. The seven-year-old mare, consigned by Four Star Sales, agent, was sold in foal to Tiznow. A stakes-winning half-sister to MGSW Raylene (Tabasco Cat), Princess Janie was making her third appearance at a breeding stock sale at Keeneland. Retired in the fall of 2008 with four wins from 13 starts, she was bought back for $200,000 at the November sale the following month. Bred in the spring of 2009 to Harlan's Holiday, she returned to this venue last fall and was purchased by Totem Thoroughbreds for $280,000. Princess Janie is the dam of a weanling filly by Harlan's Holiday.
