Colonel John (Tiznow) has been scratched from the $1 million GI Santa Anita H. due to a fever. The winner of the GI Santa Anita Derby and GI Travers S. last year, the four-year-old was the lukewarm 9-2 favorite on the morning line. Also scratched from the card were GI Frank E. Kilroe Mile entrants Mast Track (Mizzen Mast) and Monterey Jazz (Thunderello).
