An intriguing field of nine is set to line up for the GIII Glens Falls S. on the final Saturday of the Saratoga meet. Harmonize (Scat Daddy) has not visited the winner's circle since her career high in last term's GI Del Mar Oaks and looks to round back into her prior form here. Fourth behind Antonoe (First Defense) in Belmont's GI Just a Game S. June 10, the dark bay filled that spot again behind the great Lady Eli (Divine Park) in this venue's GI Diana S. last time July 22. Lady Eli and Antonoe returned to finish first and fourth, respectively, in the Aug. 26 GII Ballston Spa S.
“She's been training great coming up to the race,” Mott told the NYRA notes team. “Obviously, it's a bit of class relief, she's coming out of a very good race and the distance is something new for us, but we're going to try it. She trains like she should be able to handle it.”
Joseph Allen homebred War Flag (War Front) makes her Saratoga debut after kicking off her U.S. career with two starts at Monmouth Park. Boasting three wins, including the G3 Prix Chloe, and two second from five French starts for Jean-Claude Rouget, the bay was transferred to American Hall of Famer Shug McGaughey, winning a Monmouth optional claimer June 18 and finishing second in the GIII Matchmaker S. there July 30.
The top three runners from the GIII Fasig-Tipton Waya S., Estrechada (Arg) (Offlee Wild), Lottie (Arch) and Summersault (Rock Hard Ten), all return in this spot. Graham Motion, who saddles Lottie, also sends out Happyness (GB) (Verglas {Ire}), who was second by just a head in Woodbine's 12-furlong Flaming Page S. last time Aug. 11.
