Pinnacle Racing Stable & Bill Kaplan's Musical Romance (Concorde's Tune) parlayed an upset victory in the GI Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint into Eclipse Award honors Monday night. In what figured to be a close race, the now 5-year-old mare ran away from the competition to capture the hardware as champion female sprinter. The final vote tally was: Musical Romance, 131; Hilda's Passion (Canadian Frontier), 53; Sassy Image (Broken Vow), 46; Turbulent Descent (Congrats), 13; Switch (Quiet American), 2; Voter Abstentions, 2; No Vote, 1.
