Connie and Michael (Roman Ruler), the co-second choice at 5-1 on the morning line, was scratched from Saturday's GI Betfair TVG Coaching Club American Oaks due to an abscess in her right front foot. ìIt started [Friday], and we've been working on it,î said trainer Dominick Schettino. ìWe'll need a couple of days before we can put her back into training. The plan right now is to make the [Aug. 21 GI Betfair TVG] Alabama.î The three-year-old filly was runner-up behind CCA Oaks favorite Devil May Care (Malibu Moon) in the GI Mother Goose S. last time out.
