Hip 98 became the first and only colt to crack the seven-figure threshhold at Keeneland in the opening session, selling for an even $1 million to the bid of Briggs and Cromartie Bloodstock, agent for an undisclosed client. Consigned by David Hager's Idle Hour Farm, the April foal is a son of Giant's Causeway and is the second foal produced by the outstanding turf mare Voodoo Dancer (Kingmambo), a two-time Grade I winner on the New York circuit for Dimitrios Katsaras's Green Hills Farm, which is listed as the breeder of hip 98.
