Coolmore Australia has committed a pair of blueblooded mares in foal to exciting young sires to the inaugural Inglis Chairman's Sale's Elite Breeding Prospects session on Apr. 7.
Close To My Heart (Ire) (Fastnet Rock {Aus}), a half-sister to G2 Royal Lodge S. winner Admiralofthefleet (Danehill), will be offered in foal to Frankel (GB) on a Southern Hemisphere-time cover. Close To My Heart belongs to a productive family, her second dam being the influential producer Coup De Folie (Halo), whose descendants include dual French Group 1 winner Coup De Genie (Mr. Prospector); four-time Grade I winner Emollient (Empire Maker); champion and G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Bago (Fr) (Nashwan) and his dual Group 1-winning brother Maxios (GB) (Monsun {Ger}); and Group 1 winner and leading sire Machiavellian (Mr. Prospector). The 4-year-old is offered carrying her first foal.
Also set for the Chairman's sale under the Coolmore draft is the G3 Thoroughbred Club S. third Harlem River (Aus) (Fastnet Rock {Aus}) in foal to 2-year-old champion Vancouver (Aus). Also four, Harlem River is offered carrying her first foal.
