Coolmore has released the 2017 stud fees of its 23-stallion roster in Ireland. New for 2017 are G1 Prix du Jockey Club and G1 Sussex S. winner The Gurkha (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), who will stand for €25,000, and Australian shuttler Pride of Dubai (Aus) (Street Cry {Ire}). He was a dual Group 1-winning juvenile Down Under and will stand for €15,000. Galileo (Ire) and Fastnet Rock (Aus) remain at private fees. Dual Classic and four-time Group 1 winner Gleneagles (Ire), who will be standing his second season, has the most expensive advertised fee at €40,000.
“Many of our clients trade in sterling so in response to its decline in value we have reduced the fees for the majority of our stallions,” said Coolmore's David O'Loughlin. “They are now very competitively priced and we look forward to doing plenty of business.”
O'Loughlin added, “We are delighted to be welcoming two exciting new horses to the roster. Pride of Dubai is a dual Group 1-winning 2-year-old from the immediate family of Invincible Spirit and Kodiac and is a very impressive individual, while The Gurkha is a beautiful, easy-moving horse with the race record and pedigree to match.”
