Cox Confident In My Dream Boat

Seventeen days after his upset win in the G1 Prince Of Wales's S. at Royal Ascot, My Dream Boat (Ire) (Lord Shanakill) will look for a Group 1 double in Saturday's Coral-Eclipse S. at Sandown.

“I couldn't be more pleased with ours since Ascot,” said Clive Cox, who trains the 4-year-old entire for Paul and Clare Rooney. “Everything has gone smoothly; it will only be two weeks since the Prince Of Wales's, but we gave him a quiet week last week and he seems in really good form still.”

My Dream Boat won the Prince Of Wales's over soft going, and he could encounter similar conditions this weekend.

“He'll have his conditions–there is rain forecast–he's a course and distance winner and we're confident about him staying the trip on the ground,” Cox said. “The only thing that is not in his favour is that Ascot was not that long ago.”

My Dream Boat could face another Royal Ascot winner in the form of Godolphin's G3 Tercentenary S. winner Hawkbill (Kitten's Joy), who was supplemented on Monday. Other possible runners include G1 Poule d'Essai des Poulains victor The Gurkha (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) and Khalid Abdullah's classy Time Test (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}).
