The catalogue for the Tattersalls Craven Breeze-Up Sale, which is set for Apr. 12 and 13, is now online. A total of 140 juveniles are catalogued including a colt by Frankel (lot 72), who will be the first by his undefeated champion sire to be offered at a 2-year-old sale. Consigned by Malcolm Bastard, the chestnut is out of Noahs Ark (Charnwood Forest {Ire}), and therefore a half-brother to French stakes winner Temps Au Temps (Ire) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) and multiple group-placed After (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}).
The catalogue includes the siblings to 33 stakes winners, including an Invincible Spirit (Ire) half-brother to G1 Prix Saint-Alary winner Epic Love (Ire) (Dansili {GB}) (lot 44); the Pivotal (GB) half-brother to G1 Coronation S. winner and G1 1000 Guineas runner-up Starscope (GB) (Selkirk) (lot 69); and the Dragon Pulse (Ire) half-sister to Kheleyf's Silver (Ire) (Kheleyf), the dam of Group 1 winner and 2.1 million-guinea mare Tiggy Wiggy (Ire) (Kodiac {GB}) (lot 97).
Twelve of last year's 15 active leading sires are represented, as are 17 first-crop sires.
“The Craven Breeze Up Sale is well established as the market-leading sale of its type in Europe and this year's catalogue looks to have a perfect mix of proven sires as well as an exciting group of first-season sires including the first 2-year-old to be offered at a European Breeze Up Sale by the incomparable Frankel,” said Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony. “The sale consistently produces a plethora of group and listed winners each year, which is why it continues to attract buyers at all levels of the market from throughout the world.”
The breeze show for the Craven sale is Apr. 11 beginning at 9 a.m. on Newmarket's Rowley Mile. The sale will take place Apr. 11 and 12 after racing.
