A total of 320 yearlings are catalogued for the single-session CTHS Canadian Premier Yearling Sale beginning Thursday morning at 11:30 at the Woodbine Sales Pavilion on the grounds of the Rexdale, Ontario, facility.
No fewer than four of the sale's graduates were recognized with Sovereign Awards in 2016, including champion 2-year-old male King and His Court (Court Vision), champion 3-year-old male Ami's Gizmo (Giant Gizmo) and champion turf female and one-time Horse of the Year Lexie Lou (Sligo Bay {Ire}).
An interesting mix of sires, both Canadian- and American-based, are featured in the catalogue, and one offering with a significant update to its page is hip 75. Offered by leading consignor Cara Bloodstock, the bay filly is a daughter of Hill 'n' Dale's Flashback (Tapit) and a daughter of Smart Catomine (Smart Strike), making her a half-sister to recent Prince of Wales S. hero Cool Catomine (Spring At Last).
Due to the length of the sale, results will appear in Saturday's edition of the TDN.
