Curlin Colt Next to Seven Figs at FTFFEB

Hip 56, a Wavertree Stables'-consigned son of two-time Horse of the Year Curlin, became the second horse to cross the seven-figure threshold at Wednesday's Fasig-Tipton Florida Sale at Gulfstream Park, selling to Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa al Maktoum for an even $1 million. The Mar. 26 foal is a son of On a Roll (A.P. Indy), whose full-sister Ender's Sister is the dam of last year's GII Indiana Derby hero Tiz Shea D (Tiznow). Hip 56 was purchased by an entity called Altamira for $430,000 as a yearling at last year's Keeneland September sale.
