VINO ROSSO (c, 2, Curlin">Curlin–Mythical Bride, by Street Cry {Ire}) took his record to two-for-two with a first-level allowance win at Tampa Bay Downs Friday afternoon. A decisive debut winner at Aqueduct Nov. 11, the $410,000 KEESEP buy was hammered down to 1-9 favoritism for this first try against winners. Tracking from third through early fractions of :24.81 and :50.06, the chestnut drew alongside pacesetter Bon Raison (Raison d'Etat)entering the far turn and readily responded when given the signal by John Velazquez in the stretch, skipping clear to a 2 1/2-length success. Bon Raison held second. Vino Rosso is the second foal out of Mythical Bride, but first to race. She has since produced a yearling colt by Super Saver and weanling colt by Pioneerof the Nile. A half-sister to MGSW & GISP Commissioner (A.P. Indy) and GSW & GISP Laugh Track (Distorted Humor), Mythical Bride is currently in foal to Uncle Mo and breeder Tanya Gunther tweeted that she would return to Curlin next year. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0, $48,000. Click for the Equibase.com chart or VIDEO, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
