Curlin Draws Nine Against Full Classic Field

Looking to become the second three-year-old winner to successfully defend his title in the GI Breeders' Cup Classic at four, reigning Horse of the Year Curlin (Smart Strike) drew post 9 against a full field of 12 for Saturday's event. Robby Albarado has the mount on the 7-5 morning-line chalk. Casino Drive (Mineshaft) drew post 2, and Duke of Marmalade (Ire) (Danehill) drew post 4. Zenyatta (Street Cry {Ire}), potentially the shortest-priced of the 14 Breeders' Cup favorites, drew post one against six rivals in Friday's GI Breeders' Cup Ladies Classic. She is 3-5 on the morning line.
