Curlin to Make Turf Bow in Man O' War

Trainer Steve Asmussen confirmed during a national media teleconference Tuesday afternoon that reigning Horse of the Year Curlin (Smart Strike) would ship to New York for Saturday's GI Man O' War S. at Belmont Park. Asmussen confirmed that all licensing issues surrounding the colt had been resolved and the four-year-old is a confirmed starter in the 11-furlong affair. The race is also expected to attract previous GI Breeders' Cup Turf heroes Red Rocks (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) and Better Talk Now (Talkin Man).
