The 2016 Curragh Thoroughbred Trail, which takes place before racing Sept. 11 as part of Longines Irish Champions Weekend, has been extended with a ninth trail added to cope with the demand for places. Details of the individual trails have been released and interested participants can choose their own trail by booking online at www.curraghhospitality.com/icw/trail.html. The Curragh Thoroughbred Trail, supported by Irish Thoroughbred Marketing offers the chance to see behind the scenes of some of Ireland's leading Curragh-based trainers. Those taking part include Dermot Weld, John Oxx, Adrian Keatley, Willie McCreery, Michael O'Callaghan, Johnny Murtagh and Michael Halford. The renowned Irish National Stud, Sheikh Mohammed's Kildangan Stud, the Racing Academy and Centre for Education (RACE), the Irish Farrier School and some of the area's top equine hospitals are also open for visitors.
