On the heels of victories stateside in the GI Beverly D. S. and in the GI Breeders' Cup Filly/Mare Turf, James Wigan's Dank (GB) (Dansili {GB}) was named champion turf female as the Eclipse Award ceremonies kicked off Saturday evening at Gulfstream Park. Dank garnered 229 first-place votes, outpointing the late Laughing (Ire) (Dansili {GB}) and two-time defending GI Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint winner Mizdirection (Mizzen Mast), who each received eight first-place votes.
