EARRING (f, 3, Dansili {GB}–Together {Ire} {Hwt. 3yo-Ire at 7-9 1/2f, GISW-US, GSW & MG1SP-Ire, MG1SP-Eng, $835,619}, by Galileo {Ire}), runner-up over a mile on debut at Navan Apr. 17, raced in second early. Taking over with two furlongs remaining, the 11-4 second favourite was pushed out to secure a cosy 1 1/2-length win over An Cailin Orga (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), a daughter of the brilliant Finsceal Beo (Ire) (Mr. Greeley). After the race that Irishracing.com dubbed the “millionaire maiden”, winning jockey Seamie Heffernan said, “She has a lovely pedigree and had a nice first run. I'd imagine the ground was a good help to her. It's beautiful ground. She will probably stay around that trip next time.” Earring is the first foal out of the high-class Ballydoyle runner Together, who was second in the G1 English and Irish 1000 Guineas before ending her career with a well-deserved first top-level success in the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup. She is also a half-sister to the talented G1 Criterium International winner Jan Vermeer (Ire) (Montjeu {Ire}), one-time Derby favourite who was third in the Irish equivalent and the G1 Grand Prix de Paris. The third dam, the Unraced Evening Air (J. O. Tobin), is an influential broodmare responsible for the G3 May Hill S. winner Midnight Air (Green Dancer), who in turn produced Midnight Line (Kris S.), heroine of the GII Long Island H., G3 Prestige S. and like her dam also the May Hill. Another star mare to feature in this family is the G1 Prix de l'Abbaye de Longchamp winner Imperial Beauty (Imperial Ballet {Ire}), who went on to produce the MGSP Ipswich (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}). Together has visited War Front on three occasions since her initial mating with Dansili and has a 2-year-old filly named Old Time Waltz, a yearling colt and a filly foal by him.
