Death Of Influential Broodmare

Not A Single Doubt | Arrowfield Stud

By

The 25-year-old mare Singles Bar (Aus) (Rory's Jester {Aus}), best known as the dam of Not A Single Doubt (Aus) (Redoute's Choice {Aus}) died at Arrowfield Stud on Wednesday. She had been in retirement since the birth of her last foal Apollo Hope (Aus) (Starcraft {NZ}) in 2012. Bred in 1991 by the Segenhoe Breeding Venture, SIngles Bar was a precocious 2-year-old winning twice and getting stakes placed in four starts as a juvenile. What made her even more desirable as a breeding prospect was the fact her older half-brother was Snippets (Aus), the inaugural Magic Millions winner in 1987, triple Group 1 winner and a champion sire. Singles Bar bred seven winners in total including Not A Single Doubt's full brother Rogano (Aus), now at stud in Western Australia, and stakes performers Natural Is My Name (Aus) (Naturalism {NZ}) and Hanky Panky (Aus) (Anabaa). Not A Single Doubt continued his fine record as a stallion when Doubt I'm Dreaming (Aus) became his 40th stakes winner when he won at Moonee Valley last Friday.
