Dance Of Life (Fr) (Mastercraftsman {Ire}), who topped last week's Arqana Summer Sale with a bid of €400,000 from Horse France and Paul Moroney, is unlikely to appear during the Australian spring carnival for trainer Mike Moroney, who told Racing.com a start around Christmas is more likely for the 3-year-old colt.
“I would think he will race after spring, maybe around Christmas time I think,” the conditioner noted. Moroney told Racing.com of Dance Of Life's purchase, “He is a horse that Paul saw over there, he did the form, he was running in town all the way through, he had form around horses that just beat him that had won stakes races, one ran fourth in a French Derby, so he is a progressive sort of horse. We went there with a bit of a budget thinking he might make more than that but we got him inside our budget, which is great.”
“He looks a lovely mile-and-a-quarter, mile-and-a-half horse, he is a Mastercraftsman, they are flying over there and going really well here too, he is out of an Exceed And Excel mare so there is a bit of speed there, and he is a horse that can race on the speed and his last win was at 2100 metres, and it was quite a strong race,” Moroney added. “We have been lucky enough to purchase him and he will be here by September, he is on the way to quarantine now as we speak.”
