Deep Impact Half to G1SW Brings Over $3M at JRHA Select

A Deep Impact (Jpn) half brother to G1 Emperor's Cup Autumn winner Tosen Jordan (Jpn) (Jungle Pocket {Jpn}) topped the JRHA Select Sale yearling session on a bid of ᆬ250,000,000 ($3,086,420) from Takaya Shimakawa Monday. “As I visited Northern Farm on Friday, I fell in love with him,” said Shimakawa. “In addition, the dam of the colt is a sister to my Emperor's Cup winner, and I thought I should not miss this colt. The price is more than I thought, but I am very happy to get him.” A gross of  ᆬ5,452,600,000 represented a record for the yearling session. A foal session commences in Hokkaido Tuesday.
