DELTA JACKPOT RESULT UPHELD Daily Racing Form reports that the Louisiana Racing Commission upheld the result of the Dec. 7 GIII Delta Jackpot S. during a meeting in New Orleans on Friday. The connections of third-place finisher Golden Yank (Yankee Gentleman)–Millard R. Seldin Revocable Trust and trainer Gary Thomas–appealed the stewardsà decision to disallow a claim of foul lodged by jockey Gerard Melancon. Golden Yank earned $100,000 for finishing a neck behind the dead-heating winners Turf War (Dixie Union) and Z Humor (Distorted Humor), who picked up $400,000 apiece for their efforts. The TrustÃs attorney, Byron Bonck, indicated that he has recommended filing an appeal in district court.
