Desormeaux to Return to Saddle After Alcohol Rehab Program

Hall of Fame jockey and three-time GI Kentucky Derby winner Kent Desormeaux issued a brief statement through his agent J.R. Pegram stating that he will return to riding in New York at Belmont Park Thursday, June 9, following a brief stay in an alcohol rehabilitation program at Cirque Lodge in Sundance, Utah. He is the regular rider of GI Preakness S. hero and GI Belmont S. favorite Exaggerator (Curlin). “It was time to take a sober look at my life and take this step,” said Desormeaux.
