Widely expected to be one of the most sought-after prospects during Monday's opening session at Fasig-Tipton Saratoga, hip 23, a daughter of Distorted Humor–Cascading, by A.P. Indy, was the first to reach the seven-figure plateau, selling to Live Oak Plantation's Charlotte Weber for an even $1 million. Consigned by and bred in partnership by John Sikura's Hill 'n' Dale Sales Agency, agent, the attractive bay filly is the first foal from her dam, a stakes-winning grand-daughter of Better Than Honour (Deputy Minister), dam of GI Belmont S. winners Rags to Riches (A.P. Indy) and Jazil (Seeking the Gold) as well as GSW and Japanese G1SP Casino Drive (Mineshaft). Hip 23 is bred on the same cross responsible for four graded-stakes winners, including GISW Any Given Saturday.
