The Todd Pletcher-trained 2013 GIII Rampart S. heroine Ciao Bella (Giantﾒs Causeway) looked ﾑbeautifulﾒ in the ring here selling to the Solari familyﾒs Don Alberto Corp. for $1.6 million. Four Star Sales, agent consigned the grey 5-year-old, who is in foal to Speightstown. Ciao Bellaﾒs dam is the MGSW and four-time GISP Bella Bellucci (French Deputy). This was the second pricey mare Wednesday that Don Alberto purchased in foal to Speightstown, having already spent $800,000 for Touching Beauty (Tapit) carrying a foal by the WinStar resident.
