Mere (mare?) minutes after Peace Preserver (War Front) attracted $1.9 million while carrying a foal byﾠGalileo (Ire), the Galileoﾠmare Precious Stone, offered by Eaton Sales and pregnant to the sire of Frankel (GB), caused some fireworks of her own, as she was snapped up by Don Alberto Corp. Wednesday afternoon at Keeneland. The 5-year-old mare, a full-sister to treble GSW Battle of Marengo (Ire), earned some black-type of her own with a runner-up effort in the Listed EBF Cooley Fillies S. in 2012. Come next winter, the resulting foal will have been produced on the reverse (Danzig/Sadler's Wells) cross responsible for the aforementioned Frankel, as well as Noble Mission, Bullet Train, etc.
