A trip to Dubai has been added to the prize for the Irish Godolphin Stud and Stable Staff Newcomer Award in addition to the existing €2,500 cash prize and trophy. The trip will include return Emirates flights and five nights' accommodation, as well as organized visits to a number of sites including Al Quoz, Godolphin's international headquarters, Marmoom Stables, Zabeel Stables and the Dubai Equine Hospital.
“The addition of this prize provides the winner with an insight into the home of Godolphin and an opportunity to see firsthand one of the world's most modern and most fascinating cities,” said Joe Osborne, managing director of Godolphin Ireland.
Nominations for the awards are open until Feb. 12. The newcomer award is open to individuals who have been working in an area of racing or breeding for fewer than five years and have shown a commitment to and ambition for a career in the industry.
