Emotionless To Make Ascot Return

Emotionless | Racing Post

'TDN Rising Star' Emotionless (Ire) (Shamardal) is set to make his seasonal return in the G1 St James's Palace S. at Royal Ascot, according to trainer Charlie Appleby. The 3-year-old won last year's G2 Champagne S. by 3 1/2 lengths, but was last of seven in the G1 Dewhurst S. in October, after which it was discovered he had a knee chip. Appleby, who opted to bypass the G1 2000 Guineas to give the colt time, said, “Emotionless is in good order and, all being well, we are still heading towards the St James's Palace S. He is back in work, although he didn't really miss any–he just dropped out of galloping. He has continued his routine exercises for the past three weeks since we decided not to run him in the Guineas to give him time to strengthen. He has done well.”
