Endeavor Farm Adds Sales Consignment

Laura Haag

Terry Nickell and Mark Tsagalakis's Endeavor Farm is expanding to include sales consignments and is currently accepting prospects for Kentucky sales beginning with the Fasig-Tipton July Yearling sale.

“Together, Mark and I bring 40 years of experience in the horse industry, including sales, to this new agency,” Nickell says. “And as we expand our footprint in the industry into the sales arena, we're going to bring the same integrity and honesty that has been associated with Endeavor Farm to our sales clients.”

Nickell, son of longtime Spendthrift Farm manager Harry Schmidt, teamed with California trainer Tsagalakis to purchase Richland Hills five years ago. Renamed Endeavor Farm, the Midway property is a full-service facility encompassing 160 acres with four barns and 70 stalls. The acreage includes five fields of 20 acres or more as well as 14 paddocks. The property also features a 10-stall stallion barn, breeding shed and six-horse walker.

Laura Haag has been hired to coordinate the farm's sales efforts. A graduate of the University of Kentucky with a bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences with an emphasis in equine production, Haag completed internships with Hill 'n' Dale Farm as assistant sales coordinator and Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital, working with reproduction specialist Pete Sheerin, DVM. Since finishing her studies, Haag spent more than four years at Hill 'n' Dale Farm under farm veterinarian Dr. Jeremy Whitman.
