+LAST VOYAGE (c, 2, Eskendereya–Shipboard Romance, by Pulpit), sent off the 11-10 favourite, missed the kick a beat but quickly recovered to race behind the pace. Sent up to tackle Choice Encounter (GB) (Choisir {Aus}) inside the final furlong, the bay was not fully extended to win a shade cosily by a short head. The winner is the first foal out of an unraced daughter of the G1 Cape Fillies Guineas-winning South African champion Captain's Lover (SAf) (Captain Al {Saf}), was also able to annexe the G3 Prix du Pin during a stint with Andre Fabre and win the Taylor Made Matchmaker S. on the dirt for Todd Pletcher. She is herself a half to Ebony Flyer (SAf) (Jet Master {SAf}), another G1 Cape Fillies Guineas heroine who also captured the G1 Majorca S. and G1 South African Fillies Sprint. Shipboard Romance also has a yearling full-brother to Last Voyage and was bred to Kitten's Joy for 2017.
