Fasig-Tipton has adjusted the date of its upcoming Midlantic December Mixed Sale, pushing it back one day to Tuesday, Dec. 5. The date has been changed to avoid conflicting with live racing at Laurel Park, as the track recently announced that it will begin racing on Mondays through mid-December.
“We've pushed our sale back a single day so that all prospective buyers will be able to attend the sale,” said Midlantic Director of Sales Paget Bennett.
Fasig-Tipton will also add a supplement of Horses of Racing Age to this year's sale. Entries for that portion will be accepted through November 21, and will be posted online on Fasig-Tipton's website until time of sale. A printed supplement of the Horses of Racing Age will be available on the sales grounds at sale time.
“We are excited to add a supplement of Horses of Racing Age to this year's sale,” said Bennett. “The Midlantic region offers the highest concentration of racing in the country, and coupled with the current renaissance of Maryland racing, we feel that the timing for this is ideal. By taking entries closer to sale time, it allows sellers to get final starts in for horses and ensures that we provide buyers with the largest catalogue of 'in-form' racehorses as possible.”
The Midlantic December Mixed Sale will be held at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, Maryland.
